Why is Tidy Trax shoe cover sizing different from regular shoe sizing?
Tidy Trax shoe cover sizing is determined by "shoe length" and NOT "shoe size".
Reason 1: There can be up to a 1 1/2 inch difference in length between a size 9 athletic sneaker and a size 9 welted work boot. That is THREE Tidy Trax sizes! Reason 2: There is a slight size/fit difference from one shoe brand to the next. Example: Size 9 from brand X may fit tighter or looser than a size 9 from brand Y. That is why we try on shoes to determine what fits our foot best. Basing the Tidy Trax shoe cover sizing on "shoe Length" allows almost any shoe brand and shoe construction, of suitable footwear, to be used with Tidy Trax shoe covers.
